On behalf of the nominating committee, the 2011-2012 slate is below. Per Article VI, Section 6 this e-mail serves as 30 days notice to all active members. Since no office has more than one candidate running, there is no need for any ballot vote. The 2011-2012 slate will be effective July 1, 2011. The Board had a situation where the circumstances of assembling the 2011-12 slate was going to contradict with some part of the bylaws regardless of what was done. We felt that delaying the vote until July 1 was the best way to settle the conflicting bylaws. 2011-2012 Slate, Board Members President: Kristen Rook VP/President-Elect: Mary Elizabeth Newsom Treasurer: Kelley Darling Secretary: Emily Roberts Director-at-Large (3 positions): Marianne Watson, Rosemary Zankiw, Shari Berkowitz Immediate Past President: Angela Stetler Kristen N. The DC 2009 conference saw the last Hein Fun Run but, last year, Denver law librarians carried on the tradition by organizing an informal run (or un-run) of their own. This year the torch has been passed on to us here in Philadelphia. A group of us are putting together a run, tentatively scheduled for Sunday, July 24, at 7:00 am. The route would consist of approximately 3.1 miles from the Convention Center to the Art Museum. A route for walkers is also planned. Who knows, maybe we can get a picture of people in front of the Rocky statue. If you would like to help plan, volunteer or attend this "Second Annual Law Librarian Un Run", please email me.
